Brother MFC-7340 Review

January 13th, 2011 | No Comments | Posted in Brother, Printer Reviews

He MFC-7340 is the cheapest product in Brother’s refreshed line-up of mono laser multifunctions. It offers simplicity and cost efficiency in a no-nonsense package. For small businesses a multifunctional, that is cheap to run, the MFC-7340 are suitable.

Brother MFC-7340 Review

With a two-tone beige and gray color scheme, the MFC-7340 is not the prettiest unit we’ve seen. However, for a medium volume multifunction is compact. The device has a 250-page capacity paper tray and a manual single page feeder. However, the MFC-7340 is a paper output tray is shockingly inadequate. A small slot that fits between the toner holder and the multifunction control panel serves as the paper output, and the struggle to hold more than 150 pages. The unit control panel and scanner can be lifted to accommodate more, but this is an inelegant solution.

Toner replacement is also a problem. When replacing the toner, the entire drum to be lifted and an unnecessarily complicated process. Nevertheless, an average cost of consumables 4.8c per page is definitely a smile on the faces of the cost-conscious. This low cost helps Brother remains one of the cheapest mono laser manufacturers in the market right now.

The MFC-7340 is relatively low price tag comes at the expense of productivity in the office a number of functions. Connectivity is limited to a single USB 2.0 port – Ethernet will be an additional cost of $ 100, while Wi-Fi can only be found in the flagship, which costs an extra $ 200. There is also no duplex printing and fax speed is limited to a paltry 14.4 Kbps – a rate usually only found in cheap standalone faxes.

Brother MFC-7340 Review

We were not surprised by the multifunction printing speed, but its ability to consistently implement the quality of the institutions to impress. The MFC-7340 offers three different quality settings, ranging from 300dpi to 1200dpi. Regardless of the quality setting chosen, pages printed on an average of 21 pages per minute. Although not the fastest speed we’ve seen, it is commendable when printing at 1200 dpi.

The MFC-7340 is ideal for producing clean and tidy text of impeccable quality with only minor differences between the brightness level of quality. A side-by-side comparison with the same test document printed by Fuji-Xerox showed comparable quality, although the waxy look of the Phaser 8560 gave a better quality photographic documentation. Nevertheless, for pure document printing, the MFC-7340 is excellent.

Image and document scanning is also fairly fast, but the quality is not great. Scanned images with the MFC-7340 are darker than the originals, sacrificing detail in dark scenes. This was also the case with graphics and text scanning, and color that adds a little muddy to deviate from the accuracy of the originals.

Verdict

The MFC-7340 has a number of weaknesses and missing features that make it problematic for office use. No duplex, no Ethernet and an inadequate paper output tray are the major failures, but it provides good quality printing and is cost efficient.

Brother HL-2140 Printer Review

January 10th, 2011 | No Comments | Posted in Brother

Home and one-per-desk style mono laser printers are cheaper than inkjet machines and for those who do not need color, they represent a better deal. According to its own literature, Brother is the second most popular brand of laser printer in the UK, so a new entry-level printer earns an early evaluation.

Colored in light gray and dark slate, the HL-2140 is a neat, low-profile laser, heavy bent over the vertical edges, except the front left, a stylish, concave curve under a large, blue power button shows the top.

Brother HL-2140 Printer Review

Three other indicators, toner, drum and error conditions right after the power button and a flip-up paper support deals with longer, U.S. legal size paper. This can be left folded down when printing A4 pages, of which 250 can be loaded in the main paper tray that slides out from the bottom front of the machine. There is a special media feed, too, but no support for the pages, so you must manually feed. A pull-down panel at the rear provides a straight paper path, in cooperation with these single sheets.

This version of the printer comes with a USB 2.0 connector only, but others in the range of additional support for Ethernet and wireless connections.

Brother makes quite a bit of its separate toner and drum units and it is not unusual for a single consumable in a printer to entry-level price. The two consumables are supplied as one unit that slides into the front of the printer when a cover is lowered. While the standard-capacity toner cartridge has a capacity of 1,500 pages, Brother includes a non-standard 1,000-page starter cartridge, just to buy you a new owner soon.

Software installation is very simple, as the Brother software loads the driver and detects the USB connection without intervention. There is a status monitor for the printer, but otherwise you are left to the characteristics of the driver, who have multiple pages per sheet, poster printing and watermarks. No duplex unit on the HL-2140, but there is software to help produce double-sided printing manually.

Brother HL-2140 Printer Review

Brother claims a maximum of 22 pages per minute printer, which means a five-page document must be complete in less than 15 seconds. Our two documents, the first half of straight text and text and graphics, took 21 seconds and 22 seconds to complete, respectively. This means a maximum real-world print speed of 14.3ppm in normal print mode, only about two thirds of the rated speed.

We tried our main text to print at 300dpi and save toner used, but this made little difference to the print speed. Toner Save function made little difference to the text print quality, too, which would be quite acceptable for most jobs, better than many draft modes other mono lasers.

In normal mode the print quality is more than reasonable, with sharp, well defined black text, right down to small font sizes. Grayscale reproduction of color originals neatly printed and with very little banding, producing crisp, clear images and well done page rules.

Even our test photos came through well, with inconspicuous stripes and a number of details in shadows. The dot pattern is surprising to note, even with using the printer quality mode of 2400 dpi to 600 dpi. The straight 600dpi print mode is almost as good, but there is little print speed advantage of using the lower resolution.

Brother HL-2140 Printer Review

The HL-2140 is a brand new Brother printer and is not currently available on the Internet. It also uses new toner and drum units, which are not already listed by the usual discount sources. The toner units are rated at 1,500 pages and 2,600 pages standard capacity for a high capacity, with a drum that should last for 12,000 pages. In a typical home or small office, these capabilities are reasonable and maintenance costs are relatively low.

Due to the exclusive nature of this early review, I used Brother’s own figures for printer costs and retail prices for toner and drum. We would expect these numbers to drop once the parts are readily available. Just as good, if we calculate the cost per ISO black page to 3.14p, a little high, even for a printer to entry-level price.

Conclusion

This is a well-designed, smart, personal, monochrome laser printer that most of the things you would not want from a one-per-desk machine. If we were picky, we’d like a multi-purpose tray that can take more than one sheet at a time, and a toner cartridge with at least the same capacity as the default output available for consumption as a reserve.

Operating costs are high with the manufacturers SRPs, but hardly anyone ever pays these charges and we would expect a substantial reduction when the printer is launched early in January 2008 to see.

Brother MFC-7840W Review

December 17th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Brother

It seems a bit of a rush to be among printer manufacturers currently produce a new generation of mono laser printers. The Brother is very much at the forefront when it comes to quality compact printers, it was only a matter of moments before they joined in the hunt with the new multi-function 7000-series.

Brother MFC-7840W Review

The MFC-7840W is at the upper end of this series of five models, which start at 102.12 (plus tax). mainly aimed at the small business end of the market, this is a stable, solid square machine – 428 (W) x 396 (D) x 304 (H) mm – Weight 11.2 kg, which. But it is far from ugly, designed with sleek ergonomic curves and colors gun metal gray and silver.

This is fax a four-function all-in-One combines scan, copy and print. On the top of the 50-sheet ADF, and is at the bottom is the front-loading, 250-sheet paper feeder. Unfortunately, there is no automatic duplex facility, so you have double-sided printing to be processed by hand. The included toner cartridge has to be pushed into its housing at the front and, apart from the usual attachment cable, which is the most physical work out of their way.

Brother claims it is the only compact 4-in-1 multifunction device with Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) built networks, and in addition you have separate cables and USB ports. Setting up the wireless feature is a piece of cake: just type in your WPA or WEP encryption key on the numeric keypad and LCD, and within seconds are blocked.

Brother MFC-7840W Review

The included software also allows the driver and printing options via USB in the usual way. The two top models of the 7000 series have a downloadable “ifax” function so you can send faxes for free over an existing computer network to compatible devices.

The control panel is one of the clear and user friendly we have seen, with fax, copying and printing menu buttons on the left and instant set-up buttons for fax, scan and copy embedded under the centrally-placed, two-line LCD text. Besides the two main paper holder, there is also a straight paper feed make life easier with more tricky media such as envelopes, labels and cards.

In terms of operating speed, Brother offers 22 pages per minute at the default settings, the first printed page to emerging markets in less than 10 seconds. In practice, it has about 25 seconds for the machine to warm up and then print speeds tend to be fairly consistent, whether through the draft, standard or high quality settings with an average of 16 pages per minute. For example, we have a 70-page game walkthrough, large amounts of screenshots in a little more than 3 minutes contained and did an A4 photo in 30 seconds to scan copies.

Brother MFC-7840W Review

In addition, manages a OCR to scan in 7 seconds. There were good quality reproduction on ‘press release’ style text, but it was clearly struggling when trying to read text with smaller or more italic fonts. The print quality was generally good, with no extraordinary: came (scan in color) scanned photos noticeably darker and grainier than printed in black and white, with significant amounts of banding at high resolution. Simple text rolled out relatively sharp, although it is less concentrated than, say, a newspaper article was copied.

While it is relatively cheap to run (a high-yield toner costs produce just under 40, 2,600 pages and there is a toner-saving setting), you have to weigh whether the admittedly excellent fax device and the wireless feature is worth slightly overweight price tag.

Conclusion

A solid, fast and user-friendly compact mono laser printer with good wireless connection and fax facility, let down by comparatively low print quality and a high price.

Brother HL-4150CDN Review

October 18th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Brother

The HL-4150CDN and his siblings constitute Brother’s first step in the workgroup color laser printer market, where they are against big names like HP, the market leader. A newcomer has to offer some obvious advantages to cut a niche in this crowded sector.

Brother is obvious to the solid, reliable look with the HL-4150CDN. The cream and black case is pretty close to square, apart from a slight lean back to the front panel. There is a strong presence on the desktop.

Brother HL-4150CDN Review

The control panel is on the left side of the paper output slot surface of the printer and includes a 2-line 16-character LCD, which flips up one of the five positions. The controls are well designed and include a secure key, on which sensitive documents for printing unless you are on the machine can be maintained.

There is a USB socket in the top of the left side of the front plate and the set works with USB drives for direct printing of documents, including JPEG, TIFF and PDF.

There is a 250-sheet paper tray fitted as standard, available with a 500-sheet tray as an option. We still have the feeling of 250 sheets is too small for a workgroup printer sales are expected, especially since the cycles run on this type of machine often in several thousand pages per month. There is a 50-sheet multipurpose tray, which compensates for the folding of the front and the low capacity of the main compartment.

On the back are ports for USB and 10/100 Ethernet – there is no wireless system on the HL-4150CDN, although on other machines in the area. The printer comes with PCL and PostScript drivers in emulation, and a status monitor applet. There’s pretty much the norm, are Windows and OS X out of the box is supported with Linux drivers for download, in this case from the Brother Solutions web site.

Brother HL-4150CDN Review

Pull to open the front panel and slide out a tray, you can holding the four toner cartridges. This is a new, in-line, color-laser engine, designed from the ground up, so is easy to maintain, although the printer still uses a separate drum and transfer belt. These components have lifetimes 25000-50000 sides, though, so it is not an everyday concern.

The new engine is also a gap in Brother’s range of speeds and is at 24 pages per minute in both monochrome and color printing evaluated. Under test conditions, our five-page black text document completed in 20 seconds, which corresponds to a speed of 15ppm, but climbed to the longer, 20-page review on this 19ppm. OK, it’s not 24 pages per minute, but it is a respectable speed for this class of printer.

The HL-4150CDN features an integrated duplex unit and this is a newly designed paper, which takes sides in pairs, which overall has better speed than some competitors, as long as your document is a multiple of four pages. There is an even number of duplex pages, of course, but you will only see the full benefit of the faster duplex in a four-or multiple prints.

We saw a speed of 12.5 pages per minute, which is a little more than half of the Simplex mode, but still quite a bit faster than, say, the Samsung CLP-670ND, which clocked up only 9.5spm on the same test .

The print quality is good we’ve tested with the best color laser. Black text print is sharp and clean and not too heavy on the page. Draft mode, which saves toner, is also very easy to read. It is not trained well or is as dense, but good for internal documents.

Color print, especially for business charts and graphs, is dense and bright, although colors a little darker than the originals. There are some slight halo formation with black text on darker colors, but it is not so marked. Photo prints are also a bit dark by default and lose some details, but at least not bright colors, as used by some color laser printers.

work. The machine is still too new to be cited for reduced prices on the Web. With SRPs is a page costs 3.4p for black and color for 15.7p. These prices are quite high compared to similarly priced alternatives, but not if you compare with these competitors’ list prices when they look better than many.

Conclusion

Brother’s move to the mid-range color laser market looks well placed if this printer is anything to go by. It is good to head competition of speed and print quality, and, after his supplies see prices should show a similar operating costs, too. It can not some of the bells and whistles of its competitors, but compensates for the relatively sharp prices this. The most useful extras such as secure printing and USB Direct-print work well, which is an overall solid combination.

Brother DCP-9045CDN Review

October 14th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Brother

Multi-function printer, the heart of a workgroup or small department, and with the increasing number of color laser engines available, they are always flexible. One of the newest innovations duplex scanning and pressure, which can save on paper and produce tidy, double-sided documents. Brother DCP-9045CDN’s is on the high end of its multi-function area and includes pretty much all the bells and whistles, except Fax.

This is a great machine, weighing nearly 40kg and taking up considerable space on the desk. Colored in gray and cream, it has a great looking, impressive Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) with a new, extra slot in the lid, from which pages appear scanned during duplex scanning. The ADF can hold up to 50 pages at a time, and there is a CCD scanner engine under the bunk.

Brother DCP-9045CDN Review

The control panel is clear, though a little heavy right down. A 16-character by five-line backlit LCD display shows various status information, although a surprisingly ugly, rough font used. On the right side, this is a set of navigation buttons and other rights, a number pad and the obligatory three buttons to start and stop jobs.

To the left of the display are three buttons dedicated to printing, including an illuminated one, the term “direct”. This refers to the USB and PictBridge socket at the bottom of the front and raised with a silver cover, the Walk-up printing can range from a USB drive or a PictBridge camera.

The numeric keypad is for security purposes, so that walk-up printing can PIN-controlled. The two schools of thought on independent printing and scanning focus on convenience versus safety, so it’s good to see implemented at least basic security here.

At the bottom of the front is a 250-sheet input tray, a further 100-sheet multi-purpose paper is placed over a fold-down compartment above it. On the back are USB and Ethernet connectors.

Fold the front panel and the four toner cartridges are available on a comfortable pull-out tray. These have all installed before you start with the device, but the process is very simple and should not be longer than 15 minutes.

Brother DCP-9045CDN Review

Software contains a copy of Nuance PaperPort 11, and brother own MFL-Pro application. be emulated driver for PCL 6 and PostScript Level 3 and versions for Windows and OS X made available included in the box. It also CUPS and LPD/LPR drivers are available for Linux customers.

The duplex scanning, printing and copying functions of the DCP-9045CDN do pretty much what they say on the box. You can print on both sides of the paper in a single job, scan both sides of a document from the ADF, although of course not a glass, and a duplex copy original. You can also make a one-sided document and produce a duplex copy. It is a comprehensive set, not so fast, well all that work.

Brother rates the device at 20ppm for black and color printing but our five-page black text document provoked only 12.5ppm under test. The 20-page work increases the speed to 15.58ppm, but this is still only about 75 percent of rated speed. The color of text and graphics document is returned at a rate of 9.68ppm less than half of overall inflation.

Duplex printing looked a speed of 6.90 pages per minute, disappointingly slow, as it can use duplex hold, in favor of faster printing speed. This slow-speed duplex copying in the 10-page/20-side document that was against a sluggish 3:18 to complete. After the initial novelty of the scanner feeding or by its top slot to scan the pages of their second handle, it turns out, a coffee-break function.

Brother DCP-9045CDN Review

Knowing this rate, it is worth comparing with the Dell 2145cn, a machine at a very similar market segment and sporting duplex scan and print, such as the DCP-9045CDN from. The Brother machine does the Dell test at any speed, sometimes by a substantial margin, as in the five-page black text document, which is only 7.32ppm back to the big black machine to the Brother’s 12.5ppm.

The print quality of the DCP-9045CDN is what we have come to expect from Brother machines. Black text is sharp and clean and well up in external applications as well as inter-office documents. Colour graphics are also good, and while it is bright enough to attract attention, not as vivid as to look colorful. The photographic samples benefit look more natural, even a little too pastel. There are many details in bright and shaded areas of the images.

Maintenance of the machine is a bit more complicated than some, with toner cartridges, drum, a transfer belt and toner waste containers all with different service lives. Adding up the costs for all parts is the cost per page of 3.17p for ISO pages black and color for 10.81p. Comparing this with the cost of the Dell 2145cn gives very similar results, slightly more expensive on-black color to something cheaper.

Verdict

This is a stunning multi-function device, with many features needed in a modern office. It makes sense to have the system for duplex copy, scan and print, although the copy speed is disappointing. Nevertheless, to facilitate the printing quality and the use of the machine it is a good choice for general purpose document printing.

Brother HL-6050DN Network Laser Printer Review

October 13th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Brother

For a networked workgroup printer the Brother HL-5060DN is remarkably compact – and inexpensive set at $ 715. His double-sided printing, paper can lower costs and reduce the bulkiness of the larger documents. But its printing speed may not fast enough for some business users.

Brother HL-6050DN Network Laser Printer Review

The HL-6050 is a bit slow to other workgroup laser printer in the comparison, we timed it at 11.6 pages per minute for text and 6.5 ppm for graphics. On the other hand, he produced some of the best text and vector graphics we’ve seen. Small fonts and italic on the fine edge looked very sharp, while large sign was dark, even ink coverage. Fitting lines in the line art test looked crisp, but we were seen by some banding we have stretches of narrow, horizontal lines (where we see him often) confused in areas of thin vertical lines. Our grayscale photo print showed some slight banding, moir pattern in the fabric texture and evenness in skin tones.

The main paper tray of the HL-6050 features a 500-sheet capacity. In place of a proper secondary paper tray, you get a fold-down multipurpose tray. This can take up to 100 sheets of paper, but Brother recommends that you no longer than three envelopes at a time that could be very uncomfortable if you are preparing a large mailing stack. You can add a second 500-sheet input tray for 250 dollars, but you can not feed envelopes from him. Only 250 sheets can collect hidden in the output bin on top of the device, the fold-down rear shelf accommodates 50 additional.

Brother HL-6050DN Network Laser Printer Review

Unlike most workgroup printers we’ve seen recently, the HL-6050DN separately replaceable toner cartridge and drum units. The toner cartridge has a relatively short life 7500 pages (at the standard 5 percent coverage rating), so that you replace the less frequently (about every 30,000 pages) drum. Yet the cost of supplies for the HL-6050 are higher than most of its competitors.

Connecting the HL-6050, our Ethernet network was simple. The letter format Quick Setup booklet has a flow chart on the cover you through the configuration options apply, you up on the pages inside for the details of the procedure. A full-size manual for the printer and a network user on the software CD-ROM.

The control panel is back-lit LCD display makes navigation through the menus, even in a darkened corner of the PC World Test Center. Administrators will like the set of printer-management programs, including those retrieved from your browser.

Conclusion

Many features, including double-sided printing, make the Brother HL-6050DN is a good value for a small workgroup. Print speeds are relatively low, but text printing is clean and solid.

Brother HL-3040CN Color Printer Review

October 7th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Brother

LED printers are simple in nature as a laser printer, so it is hard to see why more companies have switched technologies to save on production costs. Brother HL-3040CN’s cheap LED color printer designed as entry-level machine and comes to well under 200 It fits the SOHO market and would be equally at home print school reports, as it claims would house.

Not least because of the simpler mechanism, the strip of high-intensity LEDs used to remove the charge on the photoconductor drums, instead of scanning laser beam, the printer has a lower profile than most.

The four cartridges into slot, one behind the other, under the cover of the printer and paper feeds from a 250-sheet tray or a single sheet multipurpose slot and landed on top of the machine. When printing a multipage document, you need to increase the flip-up paper to stop or prevent slippage of the front.

A small panel sitting as a strip across the front of the printer. There is a one-line, 16-digit LCD display that does not suffer from a backlight, but is readable under good overhead light if you lower the contrast. A square of buttons to navigate the menu system and there are Go and Cancel buttons for basic control work.

More interesting, for secure printing. You can create a numeric PIN for each print job from the driver and the job will be held in the printer until you enter your PIN using the control room on the panel. The only limit is the internal memory in the machine and you may have held several jobs with different PINs at a time, though kept losing jobs when the printer is turned off.

There is no front USB port, but both USB 2.0 and Ethernet are provided on the back. The four drum and toner supplies are provided, such as integrated, but the toner hopper can be detached from the drums and have different lifetimes. You have to be replaced very easily.

This is a GDI printer, so it uses either PostScript or PCL printer languages. Drivers for Windows made available to Windows 7, and OS X. Linux is also supported by separate, downloadable driver.

Brother HL-3040CN Color Printer Review

Brother HL-3040CN prices at 16 pages per minute for black and color print and test, we have to close. Although the five-page black text document only reached 6.1ppm and toner saving version – as close as Brother is in draft mode – this will increase only 9.4ppm, completed the 20-page document in 1 minute 23 seconds, a speed of is 14.5ppm.

The five-page black text and color graphics document reached 9.1ppm and a 15 x 10cm photo, A4 paper, 45 seconds in the highest resolution, 2,400 x 600 dpi, Fine mode. These speeds are all reasonable means for a machine in this price range and you could make good use of it as mainstream as well as mono printer with color, if necessary.

The print quality is significantly better than the MFC-9010CN, we thought then was that a problem with our individual review sample. Black text is clean and well equipped, with no signs formed of toner spatter and encourages clean text that does not look thick and exaggerated.

Toner Save mode, though a little rough around the edges, would be fine for the day to day internal document and could use money for supplies store.

The colors are clean and certain, with little sign of banding. Although you can see some dithering, this unobtrusive and registration of black text over color is good, showing no halo formation. The color photograph test is a little red light on and there are some stripes visible, but in contrast to the color space is better than some and not seen the effects of-living from a different printer. There are even some shadow detail reproduction, often lost in cheap color laser.

Brother HL-3040CN Color Printer Review

There are four types of consumables in the HL-3040CN, although the transfer belt and toner containers each have a life expectancy of 50,000 pages and have only once during the life of the printer for many customers to be replaced. It should be possible between six and seven black toner cartridge for each change of the drum unit and 10 or 11 color match those to save money over, perhaps more convenient, combined drum and toner cartridges.

The cost per page works at 3.8p and 14p for black print color. Both these costs are a little on the high side compared to other entry-level color laser printer, with the color of expensive cost between 1p and 3p.

Bottom Line

This is a clean and maintained color printer that is almost as fast as its specification is easy to use and produces high-quality color print. It’s a bit more expensive than running some, but its secure print function could be useful in situations where it between several people to have their confidential documents must be shared.

Brother HL-5370DWT Laser Printer Review

Brother HL-5370DWT monochrome laser printer may be slow but it is a cost effective solution for private use or for small work groups. It’s cheap, it has to install a lot of paper capacity and connectivity options, and it is easy to maintain. The HL-5370DWT accommodate USB, Ethernet, wireless, and even old-time parallel connections. The excellent documentation includes a network user, the various network types and details of how to describe each connection. Instructions are clearly written and thorough. The Ethernet connection that I tested worked perfectly. Brother has printer drivers for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.

For paper handling the device delivers an automatic duplex unit, a 150-sheet output tray, one above the other, 250-sheet letter/legal tray, and a 50-sheet multipurpose tray for a variety of sizes and weights of Medien.Trotzdem, the HL-5370DWT have some shortcomings Design: The multi-purpose tray’s plastic parts are thin, rattling with guides that if you push them, although on its size and color are the main subjects Guide to moving circumstances we had to hunt for the expansion release – the flat. located on the underside of the shell and is not color coded – to set the tray for legal paper.

One of the few things that HL-5370DWT missing is speed. Brother claims a top engine speed of 32 pages per minute, but in our tests, it demonstrated at 26 ppm for text and 5.8 ppm for graphics – below average for a monochrome laser printer and a little slower than the comparatively cheap Xerox Phaser 3250/DN. It took longer than most competing lasers for printing photos, vector graphics and pie charts. It did a superior job printing text, as people have come to expect from lasers.

Brother HL-5370DWT Laser Printer Review

In this letter, a replacement of the same size costs $ 75, from work to a higher than average of 2.5 cents per page. On the other hand, takes Brother’s high-yield replacement cartridge for 8000 pages and costs $ 119, or 1.5 cents per page. The manual clearly explains how the toner cartridge access and unlock it from the drum unit replacement.

A few things about the Brother HL-5370DWT – the slowness, the rickety components – feel cheap in the wrong direction. But the printer industry and versatility make it an excellent all-around choice for the price.
